Discusses different types of Internet connections from analog phone lines to DSL, cable and leased lines as well as satellite. Also discusses methods of sharing a phone line, DSL or cable connection to allow several computer to share the same connection. Now also includes information about setting up a wireless network in your home or office.

Discusses methods for efficiently using search engines and directory sites. Also provides a framweork for evaluating the quality of what you find and discussed methods for allowing your bookmarks to follow you wherever you go.

Resources from a hands-on lecture given at the 1999 Scientific Assembly desribing e-mail techniques for both the beginning and advanced user. The basic class discussed introductory skills using Netscape Communicator 4.6 while the advanced class used EudoraPro Demo and discussed items such as using address books, mailing lists, organizing email, mail filters, attaching files and security.
